J-Swap parts list!

Okay, I'll be updating and adding more to this, as well as trying to organize it via the engine you're going to be using etc.

J32A2 (2001-2003 Acura CL-S, 2002-2003 Acura TL-S)

ECU: PGE-A11. A bit tough to come buy, and expensive. Best bet is searching car-part.com, acura forums, etc. Note the A11 ECU is the 6 speed MT variant. If you decide(for some crazy reason) to go with the 5AT then you need the PGE-A62 ECU.

Engine Harness: Alright, this can be tough. You can try sourcing a J-series harness out of a TON of vehicles (Accords, TLs, CLs, Odyssey, MDX, RL, Pilot, Inspire(mad-tyte JDM yo!) and even (you probably won't believe this for a bit...) the Saturn Vue (Yes, a GM product with a J35A3 Honda engine!!!! I can't be sure they used the Honda ECU though, so that harness would be at your own risk) Additionally, preludestudd11(first J35A8 swap into 5th gen, runs sub-13s 1/4 mile Very Happy) recommends Don @ RPM Systems out of New York. I have tried getting a hold of him via e-mail as my work schedule doesn't really allow me lengthy conversations about my engine wiring. It didn't go so well. Preludestud11 assured me that Don isn't one for email, but he will nearly talk your ear off on phone. I'll confirm when I get a chance.

Shift Linkage: This will have to come from the TL/CL(according to preludestud11's build the 5th gen prelude cables just wouldn't quite fit right). Brand new cables for a 2003 CL-S 6MT are available online from AcuraOEMparts.com (Delray Acura) for appr. $120 at the time of this posting.

Shifter Box: This will again have to come from the donor car. Unfortunately it wasn't very detailed what kind of custom modification was necessary to make it bolt up to the prelude shift box location. Also available online for a reasonable price, AcuraOEMparts.com appr. $65 (no knob, only lever and shifter assembly!)

Axles: IIRC, you'll need to have the axles hybridized between the Prelude and your donor car. The inners will be the donor car, and the outers will be from the prelude. This is quite tentative though, as the CL and TL do use different axle lengths.

Mounts: The engine and transmission mounts at this time will have to be fabricated by you or your trusted machine shop/buddy. Please be aware that you want these to be beefy beefy beefy. The engine is bigger, heavier, and more powerful than the H22 so you want the mounts to stand up to it. There are photos available for comparison via preludestud11's mounts, his original build thread linked in the J-series info thread on pp.com (and I'll get a link here too.)

Rear sub frame: This is going to need a chunk cut out of it for transmission clearance.

Bit of Additional info, differences between J32A2 and J32A3

Knock Sensor

'04 TL Knock Sensor 30530-P8F-A01 $26.01

'03 CL Knock Sensor 30530-P8F-A01 $26.01

IAT Sensor

'04 TL IAT Sensor 37880-PDA-E01 $27.50

'03 CL IAT Sensor 37880-P0A-A02 $25.88

O2 Sensor

'04 TL Sensor ???

'03 CL Sensor 36531-PGE-A11 $118.86
36532-P8C-L21 $117.26

Thermo Sensor (engine head)

'04 TL sensor ???

'03 TL Sensor 37773-P8E-A01(front) $35.74

Water Temp Sensor

'04 TL Sensor 37870-PNA-003 $28.13

'03 CL Sensor 37870-PK2-015 $26.76

^Alright here's the deal on why I pulled all that random info. The 2004 Acura TL has a J32A3, less HP than the J32A2 from the CL-S/TL-S 2nd gens. Finding a CL-S 6MT ECU is expensive, $400+ as it stands. 2004 TL comes in a 6MT variant, and the ECU is relatively cheap, but it would throw a hissy fit because of the sensor differences.

Thanks man. I just wish my 3G would give me less problems so I could put money towards my 5G swap.
