I'm glad bud. It's been a laugh all the way through. Yea it's been off the road ages but some of the running around, and things going wrong that I didn't want to go wrong (like the lights, which are now all sorted Smile ) it's just funny!

I'll certainly keep it up cheers Smile

January 28th:

I now have my switch panel in place for my lights. Though after doing this, I thought I'll remake the panel, and have it so that the switches are in a smiley face Smile

After a lot of moving things about, hammering bits of metal, shoving and swearing, the engine is now 75% in Very Happy Can't quite get the angle right for mating the gearbox and engine together, so going to either have to bash more of the cross member for the sump to drop down more or bash the bulk head to get the gearbox up more. It will fit, I just imagine with more swearing and shoving Laughing

9th February:

Oooh, look, no ropes holding it up!! Very Happy Woop!!!!!

Got to channel a little bit more out of the cross member to get a bit of clearance on the trans-tunnel and to have it so the sump doesn't rest on the cross member, but after that, it's a case of getting some engine mounts made up, and then rebuilding the engine Smile

Hahaa, it's only a Buick 215 (3.5L), but most cars over here run 1.2 - 2.3 litre engines so it's big by UK standards.

February 23rd:

Well the sump has been chopped, and the oil pick up is now made of 4 sections welded together to change the angle and length of it so it now fits too Smile

I now have the clearance that I needed, so can now get my mate to see about making up the engine mounts, and then I can rebuild the engine Very Happy Yay!!!

March 9th:

Well my bull bars are now all refurbed and they're on there temporarily while I make up new brackets as I lost the original ones (well, the car ate them and refuses to spit them back out from wherever they're stored!)

Are they bull bars, or 80s shutter shades? Laughing

And yes, they are legal as they were made and originally fitted back in the late 90s, just they were damaged so I got them refurbed Smile

I have also sorted out my front doors too Very Happy

Who needs door cards eh? Just extra weight that isn't needed Laughing
