THE PAINT IS AMAZING!!! and other than the front bumper kinda was weird... my fog light wiring was hanging out below! and i didnt really think anything of it till i got home, but my turn signals were going fast like one was burned out, i didn't notice that the front actually were not working till i was behind a car right before I got home. I popped the hood and pulled my right turn signal wiring up... the BULB WAS SHATTERED :notify: pulled up the left, the same thing. it was just after 6 and their phone hours were only till 6 :dozingoff: so i just drove down there and got there RIGHT before the last guy was going to leave and they got me in and fixed the bulbs and the manager said he was gonna have a talk with the guys tomorrow so it wouldn't happen again... seems like its one thing after another but in the end, it all ends up ok.

No waxing for a good 30 days though... i guess ill have to settle for the right side of it for that :sneaky:

my unexpected swap from the trip out at miller motor sports that ended in a spin out

ok a few things about the new engine, communication error about mileage its 59k miles and NOT KILOMETERS oh well still lower than what i was at!
it came out of a 2000 SH and it is USDM H22a4 the car was totaled on August 4th 2009 (15 days before my bday lol) purchases with only 25 miles on the odometer out of Gardena i wanna say thats in cali but im not sure. VIN number JHMBB6152YC005242 now for the pics

2/27/10 update
anyway got my car back, driving to school the next day my cel comes on so i go to class and call up the mechanic and he tells me to bring it down and we will pull the code, it was an o2 sensor :dozingoff: and so they order it and it gets there yada yada yada he found a small oil leak on the only seal he didnt change so they order that part and it comes the next day and so i drop it off for a few hours and when i dropped it off, i picked up my red powdercoated vc to clean back up.

anyway its running great right now and i think i have a itty bitty leak, but im not sure i need to find a clean spot on the driveway to park over to see if it is dripping.

got a few JDM pieces in today though :biggrin: front/rear red emblems and a nice JDM cupholder and got those installed today.

3/17/10 Update
camshaft seal and vtec solenoid seal got changed tonight.


my powersteering got basically every seal redone as well also put my rear tanabe sway bar on finally with new end links

3/25/10 Update
got some goods yesterday

OEM optional side skirts (ebp right now)

pulled off my door panel as well and found out my new door used to be nordic mist and the previous owner of the door also had their glass broken cause i found some shards in the door


finally found the rest of my oil drip leak. it was from the oil pan not being resealed when the motor got cleaned up by the company it came from. they pulled it off and just stuck it back on :glare: so it was pulled off tonight and has been resealed


4/11/10 Update
Put on some JDM visors last night as well as the rear type s ash tray (dont like that missing spot back there lol)




this piece was the biggest PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!

blurry pic but thats a washer... i dropped my first one and it went down the freaking door panel > so once i got that pulled off and found it i pulled the visor off and put it on first then screwed the rest on



first step i did on the second visor and it made it sooooooo much easier!

put cf hood on to show at the swap meet this weekend to try and sell. i think i already have a buyer :mrgreen:

dropped my side skirts off today to get painted and they took my gas cover to paint match off of. rather than leaving someone able to get at my gas i luckily had this spare one...



fake cf. gave me like 30+ more hp

only one side is on, when i pulled the passenger side off there were no clips to reuse and i called the dealership and their parts department had just closed so i tried my aunt but she also had left so ive got no sideskirt on the passenger side right now im gonna go stop in after class in an hour or so and either pick them up or order some and hopefully they will be here by saturday

finally got one of my valve covers back from the powder coater last night, took two weeks cause he got so busy and was never home when i could go get it, but oh well it was worth the wait to have the price lowered

lettering was originally going to be white, but the blue bled into it and he just polished them for me instead.





these pictures do this color no justice, but here are some better ones he took for me.





The color is a dead on match to the F-zero blue from Volk. I'm planning on doing my SH rims this color for winter

spent the day down at a buddies shop with my brother in law getting a few things done on the new DD he picked up and used some of their tools to finally put my VC on

Pulled the front bumper off last night to get the condensation out of one of my headlights



just set them in my room with my fireplace going and dried them out

before


all gone!


Gonna add a little sealant to them when i get home tonight and then put it all back together.

Also ordered the few things i need to get to finish my roof rack but 2 cover parts for the stretch kit are on back order so its gonna be another 2 weeks :emthdown:

Also gonna be raising the car back up for a suitable winter height since its already snowed here this week

The paper boy broke my beater trucks mirror and was nice enough to leave a note saying that he would pay for it.
he took this thing out lol if it woulda been my lude's mirror i woulda said hello to some power folding mirrors


ordered a sticker from Fav's Squareonedecals.com and added his sticker to my rear window of rep


Haven't gotten around to raising the lude back up cause i just cant bare to have the gap but i need to do it :emthdown:

Roof rack stuff shipped today and should be here next week.

Finally getting a new alarm that will actually work for me and not cut out randomly! this will be installed on Thursday by the same guy who did my head unit i had a few spare keys cut and one will be going for remote start.

Been busy since the last post.

Taillights had condensation in them and have since then been dried out and new gaskets.



the roof rack is on, ive been putting off throwing on the snowboard attachment for a while though :?


had to raise it up for the snow :/ and still managed to snow plow after a storm



Got a nikon D90 on black friday so i didnt have to wait on others to get pictures still learning but i know im gonna have fun with it!
lenses with the camera are a 18-55mm and a 70-300mm





thats about it for now.

hahaha well i have been updating it religiously documenting just about everything, i have pictures on fb from the spin out i took at the track and this is only pictures from the build thread on pp.

its ok... i hate myself as well. look at how close all the updates are... i have nothing more to really do on it lol so its saving time and powder coat random things

i think next up for that will be to powdercoat my brake calipers(prolly around 100 i think) , intake (probably 35-40), battery tie down (probably 15), and a few brackets (probably 15 as well). just need spring/summer to get here so i can get it all done!

I love those rims! With that color, I like those better than any aftermarket rims I've seen so far. Of course I'm a little biased since I also have ap1's haha

stripping the front brackets right now to have redone powdercoat takes FOREVER to strip off! but it will be worth it

after he polished the DOHC VTEC letters, he usually has his dog down there chilling with him but he didnt bring him that sunday if you were wondering why in the hell theres a dog bowl down there lol



flat candy teal vc he was working on perfecting, looks much better in person. for some reason the cameras dont get the flat color look very well... phone cameras seem to work the best.


bmxfreakboy's vc i was packing up for him (shipped it on monday) he asked for a business card and some stickers so i grabbed some while i was down there. the ziplock baggie in there is holding his finishing washers and bolts he also wanted


this was from tuesday and i was bored lol my lude is dirty

I wouldn't do stock seats though, I would go out and buy some aftermarket ones. if you want some black s2k ones pv97lude linked me to some in ohio a week or so ago that are pretty mint.
