i have 2 blocks of diamond down in the basement room of my "mining" area you will have to kill the slimes that have spawned down there though... they seem to have come with negs lol i never had any till he came over and made a factory but you are more than welcome to use that diamond pick anytime. just lemme know when you find some and you can tele me to you and ill just wait around

lol it'd be easier if I'm already equipped with diamond, then venture out. That way when I find things, I can mine them and TP back afterwards.

in my SP world im pissed cause i found a ton of lava, water, and even a shit ton of DIAMOND!!! i was like WTF?!?! first place i dig? and i find all this stuff so close to the surface?! granted i am under a very large lake lol

What happened was the game updated, and mineral rates were increased.

Yes, the server was updated, but the mineral content in the server world was akin to that prior to the latest update.

Also, lava and diamond are usually found very close to each other.

Nope, lol. Remember, our world was generated BEFORE the update, and the mineral locations were not changed by the update.

I'm still toying with the idea of a new world.

ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuu so you are saying that my SP world had those deposits since i started it before the update came out? or is it just areas that you havent touched?

From what I understand it was supposed to be worlds generated AFTER the update that have the increased mineral rates, though I suppose if the game generates a new chunk to satisfy someone's need for exploring it's possible the new chunk would be generated with the new mineral rates. Who knows.

hmmmmm.... seems like me and negs need to start mining again... my downstairs basement pretty much fueled the growth of the flying castle for a bit there lol now i think its the factories doing the work
