lol, great...My place is going to be dark now. All I had lighting the place were burning logs inset into the walls.

I had two fireplaces that are now going to be burned out.

I'm a tad upset that they fixed that glitch lol.

Me too, at least I won't have to stare in disdain at your fires anymore lol. Maybe they will fix The Nether for MP soon. Then we can get our fireplaces back.

Also, saw this when I opened minecraft...

i saw that one the other day, i wish this game had dragons in it mainly because it would be awesome if you could get one and it could take you somewhere... then walking long distances would be much easier

That is what the nether is for. That would be cool though.

That's the goal. 8gigs of RAM and a 300mbps network connection should seriously help.

Oh yeah that may do it. Lately they lag had been getting pretty bad.

Well all of our various waterfalls do not help haha.

you are telling me! i lagged and thought i shut both doors to my house. nope. a terrorist wandered in and i saw him running for me right as a chest's inventory screen was popping up -_- blew my glass room straight to hell.

Hahaha, I can only imagine that thing blowing up. That was quite a bit of glass. My problem with lag is opening the chests. I try to open one, does not do anything so I wander away. A few minutes late, just as I am getting swarmed by zombies or dodging lava flow, BAM! Inventory screen in my face.

Since the update pretty much the only thing to spawn in my mine have been Slimes and Zombies. Those little slime bastards don't do down easy. I got fed up with then and lured them into my stairwell then flooded it with lava.

yeah the inventory thing only happens a few times or as soon as i get into the game and try and get my stuff other than that i dont have any problems with the chests.

yeah all that glass was pretty much destroyed and the lava started coming in everywhere so i had to break out the dirt and block it off so i could get close enough to do a patch job on the stuff. in retrospect i should have just went up to the top and pulled the lava, but i did things the dangerous way

havent met a slime yet though. that was win how you got them though

Yea I haven't seen a single slime either in multi or single player. I feel ripped off.

Haven't had inventory issues yet though. Anyone use a bed in single player yet? I've used one on the server, have it in my house lol. MP only fast forwards time when every player on the server is in bed. Single player always fast forwards the night to day. From what I read though, using the bed provides a small chance for a random mob to spawn regardless of the light level. You wake up and have a brief second to orient yourself before the mob attacks.

Also, there was a new server side command which allows me to set what time of day it is.

Slimes spawn deep underground in large areas. My mine is at bedrock and is nearly an open room probably close to 50x40 if not larger. I have seen about 10 of them down there. I am going to cover most of the floor in glass to prevent them from spawning.

I really need to get down to bedrock lol. I have a mineshaft I'm digging, but currently want to add a glass ceiling to it to provide more light than just torches. Still PO'd though about logs and wood not burning eternally.... I haven't come up with an appropriate replacement for my fireplaces because we can't go to the Nether and get the Netherrack blocks.

I just lost everything...about 400 Redstone, 140 obsidian, 30 diamonds and I don't even know what else...seriously...fml.

Kinda, I searched everywhere for my stuff. Went back to the spots I died and and didn't find anything so I just left. I can start over. It just sucks. I have enough exposed resources in my mine to easily start again. probably 20 iron ore, 6 gold, 6 diamond, and maybe another 100 redstone. I am most disappointed about losing 12 buckets though.

That was not even half of them. That was also before I tried to kill them. Those were not even split. There were also 2 giant ones behind me, about 3-4 blocks tall. By the time I gave up looking for my shit there were 30-40+ Slimes.

Anyway, part of the first level of my mine. This is why so much shit spawn down there. It is huge.

^The key here is going to be looking for the difference in the Memory score. The full WEI score is always the same as the lowest number, and it will end up being 5.9 after the installation of everything due to my HDD. I will be upgrading the HDD in the future, but for my plans for the server you guys probably won't notice it anyway lol
